Jacksboro Middle School Principal Sara Mathis has been selected as the next Assistant Superintendent of Jacksboro ISD beginning July 1, 2022.
Mrs. Mathis graduated from Jacksboro High School in 1997. She attended Texas Woman's University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Family Consumer Science in 2000. In 2004, Mathis completed a Master of Education degree from Midwestern State University.
Mathis returned to her alma mater in 2007 as the Assistant Principal of Jacksboro High School for three years before becoming the principal of Jacksboro Middle School in July 2010.
Mathis and her husband Jon are third-generation Jacksboro Tigers. They have two daughters, Rylee, a sophomore at Jacksboro High School, and Addy, a 5th grader at Jacksboro Elementary.
