The Jacksboro High School Purple Pride Band is a prominent performing organization in Jacksboro, Texas. The band is comprised of students from grades 9-12, who have been receiving instrumental instruction since the 6th grade. The JHS PPB functions in multiple performing outlets throughout the year. All JHS PPB students perform in the Purple Pride Marching Band during the fall semester, which becomes the Purple Pride Concert Band during the spring semester. The jazz band begins instruction towards the end of the marching season, and performs at extra community events as another facet of the band.
