iPad Links and Information
Jacksboro ISD is in the process of Phase 3 of the “1:1” Technology Project. This project initiative began with the improvement of the district’s infrastructure and providing teachers with iPads and allowing students to bring their own device to school on a daily basis. Phase 3 of this initiative will occur during February of the 2012-2013 school year and will include iPads for students.The specifics of the Phase 3 initiative is not intended to discourage students from bringing his or her own device to school. The iPads purchased by the school in this initiative will be iPad II’s and will be the property of Jacksboro ISD.
Jacksboro Middle School and Jacksboro High School students will be given the following choices in terms of device use:
Student Use Choices: (Options that will be presented in the questionnaire)
•Choice 1:
-Students will pay $40/year iPad use fee to cover the cost of the extended warranty and case.
-Students will be able to keep the iPad at home except for the summer.
-Signed contract must be submitted at the time of iPad deployment.

•Choice 2:
-Students will NOT pay $40/year iPad use fee.
-Students will be required to check out and return the iPad at the beginning and end of each day.
•Choice 3:
-Students will bring and use their own device.
-Students will have their device year round.

Jacksboro ISD will run a MDM (Mobile Device Manager) to help with App deployment and other policy needs. Every school owned iPad must download the App below to join the MDM service.
